The Learning Lab at Cocktail District is the mainstage for learning, tasting, and all things cocktail education during the event. Sessions with Master Distillers, Brand Ambassadors and this city’s best bartenders are designed to give you a hands on learning experience. Each session will require you to use tasting tickets to attend in conjunction with how many tastes you will be served. All participation is first come, first served and each session can accomodate up to 48 attendees. Check-in in advance at the Learning Lab desk on the Carnival Floor to secure your spot.

Drew Record, Bacardi Single Malt Scotch ambassador will be presenting Single Malt 101, an in depth discussion of the category of Single Malt Scotch whisky, focusing on the Highland and Speyside region of Scotland. We will be discussing barrel maturation, and the effects of different oak and secondary wine finishes on whisky through a tasting of Aberfeldy 12 and 16. We will also be explore the classic Speyside flavor profile, through a comparative tasting of Aultmore 12 and Craigellachie 13, the Beauty and the Beast of the Spey.
